Of Liberal Naxals

My earlier note on Liberal Symposium and my disappointment with the fellow liberals, was not unfounded.

Sauvik mentions in his Blog, Antidote, that JP is leading a rally to close all illegal bars in Andhra.
I do not have to be more vindictive, Sauvik puts it very well and in very simple words,Very unlike FB Prize winner, that liberals are not used to understanding. The are used to jargon.
JP saab, people drink because they want to drink, smoke or gamble. Your adherence and siting of Rule of law, jargon is unfounded, as this is a mere trade, that is happening.
If anything is illegal about it, it is the law itself.
Yes, if a drunkard goes and beats up his wife, it is still a personal matter, and if she lodges a complaint, then it becomes a matter of legality.
Government and not the state entering at any point before they are sought for is illegal.

Gurucharan Das, has actually endorsed 70% - 30% for not so absolute property rights.
Today's Sunday times.

Deepak Mishra has a brilliant article on the fact file of Naxal Menace, specific to Bihar.
How the politicians have spawned and bred this ism, so that sufferers usually the poor include the politicians to take decisions for them. they are used as private armies and missionaries to settle personal scores and win elections.
inculcated to find a buyer for police arms.
It is a well known fact that Lalo had one to one relation with all the naxal / Maoist leaders.
There is more to it, then Mr. Chakravarti can sensationalize.

Sudeep Chakravarti, gave a very sensitized version of story on Naxal problem. His Latest Book, Red Sun, is on shelves, a story that goes well with the times when people want to find contradictory stories on "India Shining".
Audience, like a general populace stirs emotions on issues of police brutality.
Just get us one figure Sudeep, Who has killed more...police killed more Naxals or Naxals killed more police.
You will be surprised at the disparity.
I can write a similar story, with a human sensitized side to the police side. maybe it wont go well with the pseudo liberals.
But it will be an aspect to ponder.
