Dear Mr. Sharad Joshi,

This time sing us a song,
Loud enough to be heard in the columns of Delhi.
Music so blaring that even deaf would hear.
To the un-tuned frequencies.
Make right to property an issue for all.
Let us tell them, that farmers are not anti industry,
Let the industry know that, there are better ways to keep their interests.
Let the media know what misdeed has been done to the constitution.
That job does not mean industry and industry does not mean jobs.
That the fabric of the civil society needs to be rewoven.
That liberty and an individual are paramount.
Let us reclaim the word, reclaim our right.

You have done your bit standing for liberalism in India.
We have followed you, while you at times walked alone.
We have had differences of opinion at times, but liberals in this country, were always proud of you.
Now is the time to lead this docile pack to a silent revolution.
You have walked alone to Singur and sung on property rights.
Only the ones tuned to the frequency, did get to hear the rhyme.

Lets us walk back to Singur,
To all the Singur’s
Felicitate the farmers,
Let them know that they have ignited the latent fire, needed for our movement.
Let them know, how this country would remember them in times to come,
That they will be equated to heroes of 1857 and singur will be what Meerut was then.

Let the farmers of this country; know what they are against,
Let them know, who stands with them.
Let them know they are not alone.

This journey would be as important as the march to Dandi,
We will walk along, a few steps behind.
