ammoral explosion

I carefully took out the bomb from the pockets of my shorts,
standing, I let the fuse loose, then with utmost care removed the upper paper and powder layer off to more than 2 inches of the length. keeping only one inch of the fuse to ignite the bomb.
This would take at least 5 mins for the bomb to go after I would have lit the fuse.

I Placed the bomb on the floor, put the tin container on top of it, leaving enough space so that the fuse would diffuse. Enclosed in a Container would increase the magnitude of the damage.

Match-box was placed on the partition wall of the toilet a day earlier, taking it in my hand, I slowly lit the match, placed it on the the tip of the fuse, as my heart pounded, I opened the door of the toilet, closed it from out side, walked briskly out in the field, Ran towards the ongoing football game. realizing i was still holding the match-box, threw it in a nearby bush and joined the game.

Massive explosion happened just as i was dribbling the ball.
The whole school came to a grinding halt..for a few minutes, prefects were seen running to the toilets, all the players in the field stood for a while, as I moved towards the post, hit the ball hard.. I do not really remember whether I scored or missed.
Meticulous planning, heart of a lion, and coolness.
No one suspected me, and it was the first bomb of the season that year.
There was a feeling of triumph, and I could not hide it, I had to show off.

So later after the school, when the explosion was discussed in the bus, I claimed it to some close friends. they did not believe it initially, so later I had the match box in the bush to prove it.
That day onwards my status soared and caliber recognized. all next explosions were attributed to me, by default, though that was the only explosion that I ever did, even the Padre's frisked me after every explosion in the school.
I was famous.

Few things to note after every explosion that happens on the streets.

1)Some one wants to get Famous.
2)The sane, like me do it only once and take the credit for all the next.
3)The School, appoints more prefects and gives them more powers, and they are all my friends.
4)Later during the year I did win a student election.
5)All individuals need recognition, weak take the insane route.
